About Food Frontiers 2.0

Food Frontiers 2.0 is an innovation challenge to find creative business concepts, inexpensive and scalable technical solutions, and campaign ideas to help provide food and nutrition for underprivileged people at the base of the food pyramid. The challenge is jointly organized by the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Business Network (Co-convened by Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and World Food Program (WFP).

The main objective of this challenge is to support innovative business models and technology-based solutions that could be implemented to increase access to nutritious foods – especially among vulnerable people.

We know that innovating for structuring market system and ensuring proper last-mile nutrition can be a challenge, but we also know that it can be incredibly rewarding once you get the hang of it. That’s why we’re calling on all of you to join us to innovate for the food & nutrition. We invite entrepreneurs, value chain partners, foodies, and advocates from across Bangladesh to join our network and help us find creative business concepts, inexpensive and scalable technical solutions, and campaign ideas to help provide food and nutrition for underprivileged people at the base of the food pyramid.

The Objectives of This Innovation Challenge are to

Identify new and innovative ways to reach lower-income consumers with nutritious food products.

Build capacity of youth entrepreneurs on a sustainable food systems approach and business skills for managing social
enterprise.

Co-design business models that are geared towards improving the nutrition outcome of the food system, particularly for the
most vulnerable.

Build a pipeline of potential investments for disruptive innovative ideas for the food system of Bangladesh.
